So often people are persuaded to buy bridal shoes that while functional are hardly very original and definitely lack personality. Sure there are brides who go for the customised Converse or Dr Martens and I love that, but Ruby Shoo cater more for the bride who wants a more traditional bridal shoo, but a FABULOUS one! This article features the wedding shoos on offer and also a few of the wonderful brides who have chosen to say 'I do' wearing Ruby Shoo!
The bridal bootie is a fantastic option for the quirky bride. Stylish, comfortable, secure but with a bit of edginess that screams confidence. The Electra has the most luxurious brocade, and stunning corsage detail. You can choose from white with silver detailing (and an ingenious blue sole for your something blue), a light pinkey nude or a lilacey pink
Ruby Shoo's signature shoe is a Willow. A feminine style with a slim heel and a ribbon tie and Summer 2021 sees for the first time a bridal Willow. In white (again with blue soles) or a soft peachey rose gold. This is a bridal shoe you will happily wear over and over again, but will also make you feel every bit the princess on your wedding day!
Ruby Shoo Super-fan Abbie chose the stunning peeptoe Donna in gold for her special day, they pick out the colour of the dress perfectly.
Chrissie wore the Ruby Shoo classic Emily. The simple bar shoo with the beautiful corsage. Just lovely! This style comes in cream and gold or white and silver. ruby shoo emily – Belle Divino
Antonia is a classic Mary Jane bar shoe that so many of us know and love. Flattering, comfy, can walk more than 6 feet in them.... Kelly wore them for her wedding, shown here with her dusky pastel bouquet.
Paula's wedding was a polka dot delight! A groom in the Navy called for something a bit original! The shoos came first... Hatty in navy and white spot with a red trim, and the rest of the outfits chosen to match. The wedding party took inspiration from the shoes, with pops of navy and white spot in the bridesmaid's dresses and her own dress. The red nodded to in Paula's own red hat, cape and petticoat. Such an original and unique wedding!
Claire was another bride who rejected the standard ivory bridal shoe and chose a signature Ruby Shoo navy spot design to really show her personality. If choosing your wedding dress is meant to be the key event for brides tell these ladies as Claire was yet another bride who chose the shoos before the dress!
Natasha was another bride who opted for the navy spot with red detail, which was echoed in her flowers and bridesmaid's dress. Your dress is stunning Natasha, the fabric is just divine!
Yes you've guessed it, Olivia found the shoes before the dress! She fell in love with the Belle Divino exclusive Anna in purple and styled her tea length gown around the shoes, picking out the colour in the groom's tie and her bouquet.
Estelle was another bride who chose the shoos before the dress! She wore Miley in cream with a silver penny in the left one for luck. Such an elegant shoe with a bit of fun brought in by the pom-pom trim and scalloped edging.
Nicola had two pairs of bridal shoes... the lovely Maria and a pair of golden wellies! As her venue had an alpaca field she didn't want to miss out on seeing those, but also didn't want her cream and gold shoes to be ruined. Here at Belle Divino we think the golden wellies were inspired!
Maria takes the Ruby Shoo classic Mary Jane bar shoe that we all know and love and adds a bow for elegance. These also come in a white and silver colourway.
Gemma accessorised her beautiful lace gown with Amy in Cream
Dawn is pictured here with her mum and daughter on her wedding day, wearing Celia in gold.
Mel chose the lace covered peeptoe Bianca, exquisitely encrusted in crystals and pearls.
Victoria managed to sneak her wedding in just before the second lockdown in October 2020. She wore a classic 1940s inspired blue dress and accessorised with Ruby Shoo signature Willow shoe and Santiago bag to echo the blue in the dress. With so many weddings cancelled in 2020 it is lovely to see a picture of an intimate event that did go ahead!
Clarissa is a stunning option for those who like a peeptoe Also available in cream, the luxurious brocade is finished with beautiful embellishment of roses, diamantes and pearls
Fabulous picture Jayne... how could hubbie be polishing his car whilst you are looking so fabulous in your tea length gown with Poppy in ivory! I love the colour pop of magenta that you have also echoed in the gerberas in your bouquet!
Tatum is a nice option for a shoe that can be worn again. With a manageable 8cm heel and a removable bow, the style features stunning brocade
Priscilla is a style with a nod to the elegant 1920s with its art deco scalloped shape. This style also comes in cream and gold.
Fabia is the perfect shoo for the bride who wants her feet to sparkle! In a cute round toed design in either light beigey pink or beige with mint, it is finished with a cluster of spearkly gemstones
Jenna is a stylish option for a sophisticated bride, with a pointed toe and flat bow, along with slim heel. This style would be perfect with a fitted style of gown.
Writing this article has also thrown up an issue... so many Ruby Shoo superfans who got married before Ruby Shoo was a twinkle in GH Warner's eye! So many responses saying that they wore generic wedding shoes and wish they had known about Ruby Shoo / wished Ruby Shoo had existed!
I got married in 2012 and I hadn't heard of the brand then either. At this point Ruby Shoo was in its third season and had introduced its first bridal shoo, Bancroft, which I have actually never seen. I loved my wedding shoes, I had a crystal encrusted slingback, but maybe I'll have a vow renewal and join in with the Ruby Shoo wedding gang! Or maybe we could have a big party and wear our wedding dresses with Ruby Shoos!
