The Serpent's Monique is my style icon! Belle Divino's 1970's style picks!
I know that I should be left contemplating the horror of that absolute narcissistic egotistical maniac drugging and killing all manner of people going about their finding themselves on the 1970's hippie trail. And I am, especially as I visited a lot of the places myself as an adventurous twenty-something. But I, like most women I have spoken to about the BBC's edge-of-your-seat-binge-them-all-like-quality-streets drama is Monique's style. It has inspired a jaw dropping purchase of 7 pairs of sunglasses this week. In January. In Staffordshire. I haven't seen the sun for weeks. But I so want to wear kaftans and oversized sunglasses and talk with a French accent. Delving into my wardrobe I have found several Desigual pieces that worn with this vibe. I have been channelling my floaty desires into long boho dresses worn with tights underneath to ward off the hyperthermia. I have also cut about 3 inches off my own hair. I think I may need help.
Here are a couple of my top picks for 1970s boho chic style
